Welcome to nonostantement: a weekly newsletter with tolerable, astounding and chic stuff found all over the Internet.
Hi, my name is Joele Lucherini, I am an online communication consultant for brands, companies and institutions. I live/work online so I discover interesting things all the time which I then send to my friends every Sunday in this mail.
As a soundtrack for this week, a single track: Grizzly Bear -
Sleeping Ute (Nicolas Jaar remix)

I often talk to my students about the consistency of some images on Instagram and how most creators nowadays are just lazy marketers who simply try to get into the trend that works best for the algorithm (which basically never rewards a certain degree of creativity and madness… sigh!). But, what about the voice? How should an influencer sound?… [Video] HEY GUYS!

[In Italian] - How powerful it is to see data shown on a map! For example the cases of child abuse occurred in Italian dioceses. Frightening.
[Video] - I guess I've already talked about Louis Rossmann in my newsletters in the past. He is a person I admire very much, a computer technician who is fighting against Apple for the right to be able to fix our products. In recent weeks, “Right to Repair” has often been talked about and he explains it very quickly and in a very realistic way in this video.
I’m Not Scared to Reenter Society. I’m Just Not Sure I Want To.
I have gotten acclimated to a different existence.

With iOS 14.5 released to the public earlier this year, iPhone and iPad users now have the ability to easily opt out of cross-site and cross-app tracking and targeting. People give iOS apps permission to track their behavior just 25% of the time. In the last few weeks my collaborators who deal with performance management and pay per click literally panicked and we found ourselves having to explain the Facebook vs Apple war to our clients.
The future of (ads) privacy - The seismic change brewing in the attention economy, and how Google, Apple and others will redesign a trillion-dollar paradigm
Who’s Running the Vincere Bot Network on Instagram? Thousands of fake Instagram accounts are powering scams targeting influencers. The scams are run by different people, but are the bots?
We often talk about how the various tech giants are - in reality - more powerful than some nations. But what happens when someone really points it out? Apple's lawyers warn it could quit UK market if court forces company to pay 'commercially unacceptable' fee for technology used in its iPhones.
That's it for now.
